Emily IN MUSIC EDUCATION
While at Penn State, Emily studied general and instrumental music education under Dr. Keith Thompson, Dr. Joanne Rutkowski, Dr. Richard Bundy, Dr. Linda Thornton, Dr. Robert Gardner and Dr. Ann Clements. Her courses of study included instrumental music education research, observation of the Suzuki music program, and teaching instrumental music education. She also attended several national conferences on both music education and instrumental music education. Currently, she is a member of the American College of Musicians, and has been a member of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), National Association for Music Education (MENC), Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA), and California Music Education Association (CMEA).
